SUMMARY:Transformed: Theory of Change in Christian Ministry w/Dr. Simeon Zahl (Cambridge)
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row ct_row_stretch=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nTransformed: Theory of Change in Christian Ministrywith Dr. Simeon Zahl (Cambridge) \nThursday\, September 287:00 pm – 8:30 pm \nCost: Free \nAnselm House at Melrose Station720 Washington Ave SEMinneapolis\, MN 55414 \n  \nAt the heart of the Christian gospel is the story of God remaking human beings into the image of Jesus Christ. But how does that transformation happen? In this lecture\, Dr. Simeon Zahl contends that\, whether we realize or not\, “theory of change”––how we think this transformation occurs––informs our spiritual practices and approaches to ministry. Dr. Zahl helpfully examines some common theories of change in Christian ministry\, and considers how the teaching of Augustine on human nature might reshape our approach to Christian ministry and spiritual growth. \nSimeon Zahl is Professor of Christian Theology at the University of Cambridge\, and a Fellow of Jesus College. Previously\, he taught at the University of Oxford and the University of Nottingham. Simeon is the author most recently of The Holy Spirit and Christian Experience (Oxford University Press\, 2020). Alongside his academic work he has a passion for connecting academic theology with the life of the church in the contemporary world. He is also a long time theological advisor to Mockingbird Ministries\, and co-host of The Brothers Zahl podcast.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row ct_row_stretch=””][vc_column]\n \n \n \n Registration\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n Speaker\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n [vc_btn title=”Click to Register” color=”green” align=”center” button_block=”true” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fanselmhouse.eventcalendarapp.com%2Fu%2F39626%2F255642|target:_blank”]\n \n \n [vc_column_text]Dr. Simeon Zahl \nSimeon Zahl is Professor of Christian Theology at the University of Cambridge\, and a Fellow of Jesus College.
