SUMMARY:Trauma Healing Group + Initial Facilitator Training
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row ct_row_stretch=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nHEALING GROUP + INITIAL FACILITATOR TRAINING \nNovember 6 – November 9\, 2024 \nLocation: Autumn Ridge Church\, Rochester\, MNTime:  9:00 am – 5:00 pm \nTrauma Healing Healing Group + Initial Facilitator Training  \nA Healing Group + Initial Facilitator Training combines the small-group experience of a Healing Group with the training of an Initial Facilitator Training into one event. While this is a more intensive time commitment\, participants have the benefit of experiencing a Healing Group and moving directly into the Initial Facilitator Training.   \nNovember 6 & 7 – Healing Group \nThe first two days of this training (November 6 & 7) include the experience of participating in a Trauma Healing small group. Healing Groups are safe\, multi-session small groups led by certified facilitators. In these groups\, people with heart wounds can come together to find healing\, engage with scripture\, learn to feel safe\, and know they are valued. This small-group experience is also helpful for those who walk closely with others who must cope with trauma and losses\, both big and small.  \nAdult healing groups are meant for those ages 18 and older and are not intended to be a replacement for professional mental health care.  \nIn this group\, you’ll learn:  \n\nWhat the Bible says about suffering \nExplore any trauma or loss you may be carrying \nHelp you get unstuck\, reconnected\, and ready to move on in life \nand more! \n\nNovember 8 & 9 – Initial Facilitator Training \nDays three and four of the training (November 8 & 9) will be the Trauma Healing Initial Facilitator Training. Participants will be trained in biblical and mental health principles related to trauma care. The Trauma Healing Initial Facilitator Training is designed to be experiential and participatory.   \nCertification as a Trauma Healing facilitator is based on demonstrated skills in the five core competencies:  \n\nAble to facilitate in a participatory way  \nAble to work on a team  \nAble to help traumatized people  \nKnowledge of the materials \nAble to manage personal well-being.  \n\n*While certification is not a guarantee\, most people will gain valuable skills in trauma care for both themselves and others through attending this training.  \n Necessary Qualifications:  \n\nMust have completed participation in a Healing Group \nAble to attend each day of the training (certificates will only be granted to full attendees)   \nFluent in English   \nAt least 18 years old   \nCommitted to help trauma survivors and able to dedicate 2 weeks per year to trauma healing   \nAble to teach others\, manage own wellbeing\, work on a team\, and learn to lead groups in a participatory way   \nIt is suggested\, but not required\, that you attend the training with someone else from your organization\, church\, or area with whom you could co-lead healing groups in the future (if certified)  \n\nThe cost of the combined Healing Group with Facilitator Training is $189 (That is a $49 savings if signed up for seperately). If you have already been through a Healing Group and wish to only sign up for the Initial Facilitator Training\, the cost is $149.  When registering for the Initial Facilitator Training\, you will not be charged until your registraion has been approved by the Master Facilitator.  The registration is a “request” to attend. \nQuestions may be emailed to our Event Coordinator at becky@transformmn.org[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row ct_row_stretch=””][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”75px”]\n \n \n \n Speaker\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n Registration\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n Location\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n Training Options\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n [vc_column_text]\n\nRACHEL UTHMANN |  TRAUMA HEALING FACILITATOR WITH AMERICAN BIBLE SOCIETY \n\nRachel’s 20 years of work with refugees and other displaced people in Europe and North America has given her a passion for caring well for people who have survived deep pain and loss. SUMMARY:Generational Shifts in Evangelism
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row ct_row_stretch=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]\nGenerational Shifts in Evangelism with Dr. James Choung \nSeptember 21\, 2023 | 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm \nLocation: New Hope Church \nRegistration has closed for this event \n  \nHow does our preaching and presentation of the Gospel stay true to scripture while speaking to the felt need of each generation?   \nEach generation has a unique approach to how they view the world. These differences have implications for the Church as we continue the work of spreading the Gospel.    \nApproaches to evangelism that answered the questions of previous generations are not answering the questions of millennials and Gen Z. While the Gospel stays the same\, we must adjust our approach and learn to provide a contextual message.  \nJoin Transform Minnesota and New Hope Church on September 21 as we learn more about adjusting our Gospel presentation from Rev. Dr. James Choung. Dr. Choung\, the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship\, has spent years researching what each generation values and the central gospel question that each generation seeks to answer.    \nDr. Choung will provide insight on:  \n\nGenerational theory and why it is important in our current moment in history; \nThe importance and motivation behind each generation’s question; \nHow churches and pastors can reach different age groups at the same time; and \nHow this information impacts the way we share the gospel. \n\n [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row ct_row_stretch=””][vc_column]\n \n \n \n Register\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n SPEAKERS\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n FAQ\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n [vc_column_text]Registration has closed for this event[/vc_column_text]\n \n \n [vc_column_text]\nOUR SPEAKERS \n  \nRev.
