Position Title: Program Developer
Pat Rate: $25.96 – $30.76 per hour, depending on qualifications
Status: Part-time, 20 hours per week

Summary
Transform Minnesota is seeking a dynamic Program Developer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the President and our dedicated program team to design, plan, and implement a variety of program activities, including large-scale teaching conferences, training seminars, leadership cohorts, and facilitated learning networks. Your efforts will be pivotal in fulfilling our mission to transform Minnesota through the Gospel of Jesus as we focus on these three strategic goals:
- Connect: Strengthening evangelical networks across Minnesota.
- Equip: Empowering evangelicals to engage with complex issues from a biblical perspective.
- Navigate: Guiding the church of the future through periods of change.

Transform Minnesota is a regional evangelical church network committed to enhancing our witness for Jesus Christ and making a transformational impact in our communities. We connect evangelical leaders, engage with contemporary issues through a biblical lens, and mobilize coordinated actions. Our collaborative efforts also include supporting three compassion and mercy ministries: Arrive Ministries, Damascus Way Reentry Center, and New Life Family Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Programming Strategy: Collaborate in creating a multi-year programming strategy and annual work plan aligned with our strategic goals and key initiatives.
- Event Creation and Development: Research resources, vet speakers and content, explore suitable venues, write promotional materials, and develop detailed planning timelines for specific program events.
- Event Logistics Management: Execute logistical details for all events (both live and virtual), including promotional communication, registration management, presenter coordination, and overall event management.
- Collaboration with Partners: Assist in planning, promoting, and managing events when we collaborate with other organizations and partners.
- Network Awareness: Familiarize yourself with the various ministry contexts and theological/cultural streams within our network to create relatable and impactful content.
- Knowledge Development: Build a personal knowledge base of program content to inform your work and enhance program delivery.
Necessary Experience and Skills
- Mission Alignment: Strong alignment with Transform Minnesota’s mission, vision, and ethos. You should be able to envision our purpose of connecting and equipping evangelicals, understand our brand promise of engaging with complex issues from a biblical perspective, embrace our key initiatives such as Racial Justice and Reconciliation and Holy Sexuality, and embody our irenic spirit that seeks to bridge divides and foster understanding.
- Event Planning Experience: Proven experience in event or conference planning, overseeing all phases from ideation and budgeting to setup, staffing, volunteer management, and post-event follow-up. This includes a demonstrated ability to plan and manage logistics for events, effectively working with vendors, venues, and caterers to ensure successful execution.
- Experience in Evangelical Contexts: In-depth experience within evangelical church or ministry settings, ideally supporting clergy and engaging with theological and cultural distinctives.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Digital Proficiency: Efficient in a digital office environment, utilizing tools such as email, shared calendars, file management systems, documents, spreadsheets, CRM tools, and registration platforms.
- Mature Christian Faith: Demonstrated mature faith in Jesus Christ and agreement with Transform Minnesota’s Statement of Faith, Core Values, and Code of Conduct.
Reporting, Peers, Location
- Reports to President of Transform Minnesota
- Collaborates with Program Team (COO, Communications Coordinator, Administrative Assistant)
- Work may be performed remotely with regular team meetings onsite in Richfield, MN office. Duties related to scheduled events are frequently at offsite venues and may occur outside normal work-week hours.
