Minnesota Employment Law Changes: Part II

Tuesday, September 2610:00 am – 11:30 am

Cost: $15.00/person

Virtual Event: Link will be emailed 24 hours prior to the webinar

This spring, Gov. Walz signed several bills into law that are changing the landscape for all Minnesota employers, regardless of size. This includes churches, ministries, and other faith-based organizations.

In July we partnered with Virginia Cronin, an attorney who represents churches and ministries, for the first in a pair of webinars addressing these changes. Part I addressed changes to the law that began in July and August, including: enhanced protections for pregnant women and nursing mothers, legalization of recreational cannabis, and limitations on employer-sponsored meetings and communications.

If you missed Part I and would like to receive the recording, you may purchase that here.

For Part II of this webinar series, Virginia will discuss changes to the law that take effect in January 2024 and beyond, including:

  • Statewide Earned Sick and Safe Leave
  • Paid Family and Medical Leave

Churches and ministries need to begin preparing now for significant policy additions or updates.

Join us September 26, 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for Part II of Minnesota Employment Law Changes.

Those who register for the webinar will be sent the recording within a few days after it is completed.
