October 30 & 31, 2023  |  9:00am – 5:00pm

This is a two-day conference.

Location TBA

Limited scholarships available. Contact Schelli Cronk for more information.

One of the greatest challenges facing the church today is how to engage with and nourish faith in LGBT+ persons. Against a backdrop of decades of perceived religious mistreatment of LGBT+ persons, the pressure to love people well is collapsing theological beliefs. This is unbiblical: we can fully honor God and radically love people simultaneously.

Through a biblically sound, missiological approach to LGBT+ outreach and care, Posture Shift presents a way forward for the conservative church.

Posture Shift Ministries, Inc. holds to a traditional biblical ethic regarding marriage and sexuality (position) and with equal importance, believes God calls us to offer His presence, love, care and protection to LGBT+ people (posture). Read full Posture Shift Belief Statement here.

Join Transform Minnesota and Posture Shift for a 2-Day Intensive Course on October 30 & 31. This workshop is geared toward pastors and ministry leaders who hold to a biblical sexual ethic and want to implement practical, tangible, biblically-sound ministry to LGBT+ persons and their families.

“My number one go-to resource {Posture Shift Ministries curriculum} for Christian leaders. pastors, parents, and friends with LGBT+ loved ones” –

Dr. Preston Sprinkle, President of The Center for Faith, Sexuality & Gender

During this 2-day workshop, you will;

  • Learn a missiological framework to mobilize better care to LGBT+ persons
  • Develop accessible language to build trust and bridge communication gaps
  • Explore Posture Shift’s “Inclusion Model” strategies
  • Gain a 5-Step Best Practice Care Plan
  • Work in small groups on practical People Studies
  • Benefit from open dialogue and consultation time
  • Receive a copy of the Posture Shift Course Handbook for post-event study

This workshop is highly interactive and discussion based. The Posture Shift team provides applicable guidance for real-life inclusion and care of LGBT+ individuals and their families in your ministry context.

We encourage you to bring several people from your team!

“An entire leadership team experiencing Posture Shift and working together in unified passion has the capacity to live out the Gospel in your entire congregation and community!”

Posture Shift is the missiological training course of Lead Them Home and has been featured at Urbana, Cru15, The Evangelical Covenant Church’s National, Fellowship of Evangelical Churches National, The Navigators Sexual Health & Wholeness Initiative, Youth For Christ, Go Conference, and many other national and regional conferences.

The goal of Posture Shift is to help church leaders enhance care and inclusion of LGBT+ people within a biblically-sound, orthodox framework.

Learn more about Posture Shift

Bill Henson founded Posture Shift Ministries, Inc. in 2006. Our ministry is writing a new church history to ensure that Christian communities of faith and homes are safe for LGBT+ family and friends. Bill is creator of Posture Shift and author of Guiding Families. Posture Shift is a credentialed missional training curriculum on LGBT+ inclusion and care. Over 100,000 church, school and youth leaders have experienced Posture Shift across the globe. Guiding Families is a best practice relational care plan that Bill wrote after working with thousands of families and LGBT+ youth. Safe churches and homes allow LGBT+ people to grow in trusting and knowing Jesus Christ. The board and teaching staff of Posture Shift Ministries, Inc. hold to a traditional biblical view.

I formed Posture Shift after witnessing the impact of mistreatment and trauma that many LGBT+ youth experience growing up. I am passionate about fostering safe churches and homes. It is a wonderful privilege to train and consult church leaders around the world – as well as serve LGBT+ people of all ages and provide thoughtful guidance for their families. The gospel calls us to faithfully honor God – and importantly, to radically love people.

More about Bill: Enjoys family time, special dinners, adventure, travel and staying healthy. Has two beloved young adult children with his wife Kang.

Josh spearheads the creation and updates to all of Posture Shift’s resources in English and Spanish, and also co-teaches our missional training curriculum with Bill around North and South America. He also provides strategic support to Lesli, our Director of Donor Relations.

Josh holds a BA in Biblical Studies from Palm Beach Atlantic University, MA in Old Testament and Hebrew from Nyack College, and is currently pursuing his DMin from Kairos University. Prior to joining the Posture Shift team, he was a ministry leader in a national church denomination in the country of Colombia for eight years.

I am passionate about the intersection of faith, sexuality and gender. It is purposeful and rewarding to be part of an organization that is so committed to helping church leaders make faith communities more inclusive for LGBT+ people.

More about Josh: Lives in West Palm Beach, FL with his family. An avid Golden Girls fan. Loves the beach.
