TRAUMA HEALING CONVENING SESSION – Rochester, MN

When:  Thursday, September 19, 2024  |  11:00 am – 1:30 pm

Location:  Autumn Ridge Church

3611 Salem Road SW, Rochester, MN  55902

Humans experience painful events throughout our lives. The Trauma Healing Initiative can help churches care for the wounds of people in their congregations and communities with biblical wisdom and solid principles from Christian mental health practitioners.

The burdens of sin, grief, pain, and sorrow transcend nationality, gender, age, class, and race. These experiences leave us with wounds known as trauma, affecting our minds, bodies, spirits, and relationships.

As ambassadors of reconciliation God invites His people to be agents of healing and hope in their families and communities. Using biblical principles and mental health best practices, the American Bible Institute’s Healing the Wounds of Trauma program offers anyone who has experienced pain the chance to begin a healing journey in a safe, small-group community.

This Convening session is intended for pastors, ministry leaders, and people who are prepared to gather others and invite them into a healing journey. Join us to hear more about the background of this healing program and to experience a taste of the small group curriculum for yourself. After the Convening you will:

  • Understand how the Trauma Healing curriculum is responding to the need for healing in the church.
  • Understand the commitment a church makes when they choose to partner in this work.
  • Know how to identify leaders who may be able to facilitate healing groups in your community.

“The combination of Biblical understanding and mental health best practices really made the Trauma Healing Institute training stand out as unique.” – Anonymous

As she continues to put down roots in Minnesota, Rachel is eager to see churches and ministry leaders equipped to respond to the needs of our community.
