TRAUMA HEALING CONVENING SESSION

January 24, 2023  |  9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Location: Transform Minnesota

Trauma Healing Convening Session:

The Trauma Healing Initiative* helps local churches provide compassionate responses to people in their communities who have experienced trauma.Using biblical and mental health principles, the Trauma Healing Initiative offers narrative, experiential, and participatory lessons to bring healing. This Bible-based trauma healing training uses the book Healing the Wounds of Trauma: How the Church Can Help to address spiritual and emotional wounds of multiple sizes and causes.

A convening session is designed for top leaders of churches and organizations to learn a high-level overview of the trauma healing ministry. The time will be spent looking at the need for trauma healing in the church, how the Trauma Healing Initiative curriculum is responding, and what the commitment is when a church chooses to partner in this work.

Leaders will leave this session knowing how to take the next step in their church and community and can then identify those who should be equipped as facilitators.

“The combination of Biblical understanding and mental health best practices really made the Trauma Healing Institute training stand out as unique.” – Anonymous

*The Trauma Healing Initiative is a program of the American Bible Society
