What: Trauma Informed Care In Schools (2 part series)

An Exploration of Trauma-Informed Practice: Identify key components of trauma-informed practice and learn new strategies to expand and assess trauma-informed practice.


Secondary Traumatic Stress and Resilience:
Learn about risk and protective factors that impact secondary traumatic stress (STS) and learn action steps and tools to deal with STS for both individuals and organizations.

*Participants will receive 3 CE hours from approved by the MN Board of Social Work.

Presenter’s Bio:  Pete Singer, MSW, LICSW, has 28 years of experience in a variety of settings, including residential, home-based, outpatient psychotherapy, schools, and management. His counseling practice focuses on children who have experienced trauma. He is certified parent educator/supervisor with Circle of Security-Parenting and is certified in Trauma-Effective Leadership. Pete works to equip the community to better recognize, respond to, and prevent child maltreatment. He is the President and Lead Consultant with Advanced Trauma Consulting conducting training, consulting, and writing about trauma, trauma-informed practice, and staff support in the legal, education, health, faith, and child welfare systems.
