What: Trauma Informed Care In Schools (2 part series)

Trauma, Executive Functioning, and Learning: Develop an understanding about how executive functioning skills may be impacted by trauma and interventions that may help strengthen a child’s executive functioning.
Educated Guesses: Supporting and Repairing Attachment- 
Learn how disrupted attachment impact students and learn new methods to repair disrupted attachments in students.  The concept of “adhoc attachment relationships” will be discussed.

*Participants will receive 3 CE hours from approved by the MN Board of Social Work.

Presenter’s Bio:  Pete Singer, MSW, LICSW, has 28 years of experience in a variety of settings, including residential, home-based, outpatient psychotherapy, schools, and management. His counseling practice focuses on children who have experienced trauma. He is certified parent educator/supervisor with Circle of Security-Parenting and is certified in Trauma-Effective Leadership. Pete works to equip the community to better recognize, respond to, and prevent child maltreatment. He is the President and Lead Consultant with Advanced Trauma Consulting conducting training, consulting, and writing about trauma, trauma-informed practice, and staff support in the legal, education, health, faith, and child welfare systems.
