A Conversation with Ed Uszynski on Critical Theory and Critical Race Theory
“The Gospel should produce a new consciousness for issues of justice. It should be an outworking of my discipleship. It should be a result of the transforming of my mind. My primary concern is to lead people to Jesus, but in leading them to Jesus they are trading in one kingdom for another, and that should cause them to have concerns about injustice in this kingdom. Acts of justice and mercy in society cannot take the place of surrendering your life to Jesus and putting your full trust in the cross, but if you do this, you should be concerned about marginalized peoples and oppression. You should be transcending this world and be able to see where people are being mistreated.”
