Speaker Bios

Dr. Joel Lawrence | The Center for Pastor Theologians

Joel Lawrence serves as the president of the Center for Pastor Theologians. Prior to this, Joel served as the Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church in St Paul, Teaching Pastor at Calvary Church in White Bear, and Associate Professor of Systematic Theology and Ethics at Bethel Seminary in St Paul, MN. He has authored a number of books, including Reconstructing Evangelicalism (Cascade, 2025), and Power and the Pulpit (Cascade, 2025).

Rev. Michele Arndt | Roseville Covenant Church

Michele Arndt currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Worship and Discipleship at Roseville Covenant Church and previously planted a church with the ECC in 2018.  She completed her Masters of Divinity at North Park Seminary in Chicago and also served with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship for 9 years. She is passionate about discipleship and spiritual formation that equips the church to embody the kingdom of Jesus.

Transform Minnesota began in 1965 as the Greater Minneapolis Association of Evangelicals (GMAE). Since its founding, Transform Minnesota has grown into a diverse network of churches in Minnesota, providing space for pastors and Christian leaders to wrestle through complex issues from a biblical perspective.
