US Bank Stadium Worship Event Extended by One Year: NEW DETAILS

Pulse Movement announced a big change in their plan to fill US Bank Stadium this May with worship and outreach events. Rather than holding the revival and evangelism events in 2017, they are moving the Pulse Twin Cities events to 2018, the same year US Bank Stadium will host the Super Bowl.

“We came into this season believing that God was leading us to May of 2017 for an event at US Bank Stadium. We believe God is extending this season. I use the word extend because I think it’s significant, I could use the word delay. Delay means to make wait or to be slow.

…extend means to cause to cover a larger area.
I’m using the word extend because extend means to cause, to cover a larger area,” Nick Hall, Pulse Founder and Chief Communicator shared the news with 800 ministry leaders at Cedar Valley Church.

There were a couple hiccups in the large scale worship plans to fill Minnesota’s new stadium in 2017, but Hall and the Pulse leadership team are excited by the ways God is moving and will continue to move over the next 15 months leading up to the May 2018 event.

“We are feeling that God is leading us to see this season go deeper, wider, longer,” said Hall.

God is leading us to see this season go deeper, wider, longer…

“We were aiming for this year 2017, but I want to tell you, it’s not a delay, it’s an extension. I believe God is saying ‘It’s bigger than you thought it was, I want more people involved, I want to make a bigger impact.’ I believe this is a bigger impact moment. There’s such excitement and buy-in. Our leadership team is in lock-step that this is an extension to get more people involved,” said Pastor Rob Ketterling, River Valley Church.

The new plan for 2017 is to host an outdoor prayer gathering outside US Bank Stadium on the National Day of Prayer on May 4, 2017. This prayer event kicks off a season saturated in prayer, outreach, and training that will culminate in May 2018.

“We are going to stand outside no matter if it is freezing cold or if it 60 degrees, we are going to gather in prayer because we think God is calling for boldness,” said Hall.

The next 15 months are about mobilizing and equipping the Church through prayer and evangelism training.

“The Church is my change agent in the world. When the Church leaves from their places of isolation and becomes unified, then it can move in America and America will be unified,” said Pastor Mac Hammond, Living Word Christian Center.

The vision is still the same, to see a true movement of evangelistic prayer and training in the Twin Cities that will culminate with PULSE Twin Cities at U.S. Bank Stadium in 2018. The hope is to fill all 66,200 seats at the stadium with people who need to hear the message that Jesus changes everything.

“The truth of the matter is, the only thing that matters is the Body of Christ at large and the plan of God at large. When we get our eyes off of our personal agendas and begin moving toward a common cause that we can all embrace with our hearts, I believe it releases an anointing, a power that will enable God to do things in America that nothing else will enable him to do,” said Pastor Hammond.

This spring, PULSE Twin Cities will still organize service projects and School Assemblies to be held in April and May 2017.
