What: The central theme of MC2 2015, Upholding the Whole Family, reflects three realities as they relate to selecting, preparing, sending and caring for our missionaries. The first of these realities is that we not only send individuals, but we often send whole families to engage other cultures in the cause of Christ. The second is that it is incumbent upon us to serve not just the ones we send, but also the family members who are left behind when they go. The third reality is that our mission teams become families of their own, with all the systemic dynamics that make up family life.

As caregivers and friends of missionaries, it is our responsibility to be well equipped, understanding their multi-faceted challenges, so that we might hold them up as they fulfill their calling to serve the Lord in cross-cultural engagement.
