Covenantal Theology

Understanding that we are made in the image of a relational, Triune God is foundational to a vision of holy sexuality. What does the Bible say about forming spirit-filled, covenantal relationships? Are these unions important, and if so, why are they often overlooked in the Church? When discussing the theology of Biblical sexuality, the focus is often on marriage, abstinence, or avoidance of homosexual behavior. Has modern day Christianity minimized the value of covenant friendships? Has it neglected understanding the church as a covenant family?

How does our sexual behavior affect our relationships? How do our relationships with each other affect our relationship with God? In a continuation of what he presented at the Holy Sexuality Church Summit this spring, Dr. Paul Eddy will discuss the depth of God’s covenantal desire with His people and how that model translates to our relationships with each other.
