Exploring Boundaries, Clarifying Practices

The Good News of Jesus is always contextualized to a certain degree. A particular challenge and often a subject of contention, disagreement or uncertainty often surrounds contextualization of the Gospel in ministry to Muslims.

  • What are common misunderstandings that need to be clarified?
  • Where are the points of division and disagreement?
  • What are measures of leveraging local culture and religion?
  • What unnecessary and unhelpful prohibitions are we enforcing that create barriers to the Gospel?
  • How far is too far?

At this TCAMP we will have three leaders discuss with each other their boundaries and practices of contextualizing the Gospel and discuss the spiritual fruit and pros or cons of their experiences.

Connect with other mission pastors, missionaries and leaders at the TCAMP mission leaders network gathering on Thursday, November 10 from noon-1:30 at CrossPoint Church. Our sessions are open to the public, and are “brown bag” lunch gatherings. Our host provides light refreshments.
