Arrive Ministries Announces New Executive Director
Transform Minnesota is excited to announce Mike Bergman as the new Executive Director of Arrive Ministries. Mike began working at Arrive Ministries in 2019 as Deputy Director for New Program Initiatives. He succeeds Bob Oehrig who is now the Director of Development and Church Engagement after serving 10 years as Executive Director.
Prior to joining Arrive Ministries, Mike served in a variety of leadership, product development, and marketing roles at Prime Therapeutics, Optum Health, and Delta Air Lines. He is passionate about refugee ministry, and has volunteered at the Moria refugee camp in Greece on multiple occasions. He and his family are also long-term volunteers with Arrive Ministries.
Mike attended Lawrence University (Appleton, WI) for his undergraduate studies and received his MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Mike and his wife Carrie have been married for nearly 30 years. They live in South Minneapolis with their three children and attend Hometown Church (formerly Evergreen Church). Transform Minnesota is thankful for the passion and organizational management Mike brings to the team.
Arrive Ministries is an affiliate ministry of Transform Minnesota, and works in partnership with World Relief to mobilize churches to welcome refugees and immigrants in our community. There are more churches and volunteers engaged in refugee ministry today than at any time in our 30+ years of ministry. Since 1988 Arrive Ministries has resettled more than 11,000 refugees and reunited hundreds of immigrant families.
