New Blog Series: “Youth These Days”

Churches oftentimes don’t know how to engage their youth and teens with the Gospel. Since the beginning of time, parents have scoffed at “youth these days,” lacking an understanding of those a generation or two younger than them. But we at Transform Minnesota are committed to reproducing our faith in the generations that follow us. We need to invest in millennials and younger adolescents so that the Church continues to grow in the hearts of tomorrow’s leaders.

Gospel Music Up-and-Coming for Intercultural Churches

As many immigrant cultures make the Twin Cities home, the church landscape is also changing, and for many multi-cultural churches gospel music is up-and-coming. First Covenant Church in St. Paul hosted a three-day Gospel Music Workshop on August 9-11, that was free and open to anyone who wanted to learn how to sing and perform this soulful style of Christian worship.

Two Suburban Churches Planting Campuses in Minneapolis’ “Small Town”

This fall two well-known suburban churches in the Twin Cities are launching campuses in or near the North Loop. Substance Church and River Valley Church pastors say there is no competition as they launch campuses within one month of each other; they are praying for each other, and are championing the efforts of the local church as both try to reach lost people in this urban "small town" known as the North Loop.

Calls to End Muslim Immigration Do Not Reflect the Great Commission

Franklin Graham’s recent call to end Muslim immigration in the U.S. has brought immigration policy to the forefront of many evangelicals’ minds. Although we respect Mr. Graham and the work he has done through Samaritans Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, we disagree with his stance on closing U.S. borders to Muslims.
