Continuing to Rally for Life
Last week, Transform Minnesota’s President, Carl Nelson, joined the United for Life rally at the Minnesota State Capitol. Minnesotans filled the capitol rotunda to express support for a pro-life ethic and shared these beliefs in meetings with their representatives in an effort to rally for life.
Transform Minnesota encourages Christians to promote the sanctity of life through a multi-pronged approach. This includes advocating for public policies that promote life and assist with basic needs like housing, medical care, and parental leave, which socially and financially help pregnant women and their newborn children.
When the US Supreme court overturned Roe v. Wade last year, we outlined the ongoing need to demonstrate pro-woman, pro-family, and pro-life values. We knew that legislation would not end abortion. A multi-pronged approach to our pro-life ethic also requires direct support. An example of this support is the work of our affiliate ministry New Life Family Services, which has cared for pregnant women, children, and families for 50 years.
We encourage you to join this multi-pronged approach to living a pro-life ethic. Advocate for public policies that promote life and assist with basic needs like housing, medical care, and parental leave. Support ministries like New Life in their direct support of mothers, children, and families. This is where pro-life values meet real life, and it is the work we must expand to demonstrate our true values and continue to rally for life.
